The 0.5x 31.8mm focal reducer decreases the focal length of the telescope with which it is used (it halves) and increases the camera framed field in front of which it is installed. This accessory has a 31.8mm connection and it can be screwed in front of 31.8mm photographic adapters, just like a common filter.

When using in photo application, the 0,5x 31.8mm focal reducer is particularly suitable for small CCD sensors, with side up to about 10mm.
